Interior and design of a green bedroom

What is a green bedroom? This does not mean that the room will be completely green. Quite the contrary, designers advise to beat several colors in any interior. True, usually no more than two to three. The bedroom is a place not only for sleeping or relaxing, and of course for meeting spouses and just couples in love. And this means that there should be two in it comfortably. However, as you know, man and woman are creatures from different planets. In this regard, we have to find a compromise in order to come to a common denominator. The green color is very neutral, and, according to psychologists, is soothing. In addition, like any other color, it has many different shades.

In combination with what colors it is best to use green in the bedroom

To begin with, one color must necessarily be dominant, i.e. the main one. In addition to it, there may still be one or two colors that will create halftones or shades. For example, you can take green as a basis, especially since it is natural, in harmony with nature, as they say, a vibrant color. In this case, the following colors can be selected as shades:

1. pastel tones of lime color;
2. green tea;
3. olive;
4. brown;
5. yellow;
6. emerald;
7. malachite
8. delicate pistachio color

When designing a green bedroom, the most optimal solution would be to apply this natural color to decorate the walls, plus several individual details. In this case, the furniture should be a different color.

For example, if the furniture is dark or generally black, in this case the green color should not be flashy and bright, only muted calm tones.

And if, on the contrary, the bedroom set is light or even white, in this case you can play in contrast, and even very boldly.

Perfect colors for any bedroom.

For almost any bedroom, the ideal shades are light and pastel colors: light pistachio, light apple and light olive. And for a bedroom with windows facing north, these colors are just perfect. These shades are quite warm and must be diluted. For example, with white or dark brown, gray is also suitable. The main thing is not to sharply outline the interior with lines, but to leave it soft and delicate.

Green and white is a classic combination, and therefore it will always be appropriate, especially for the design of the bedroom.

Of course, in a reasonable amount, bright colors are also allowed, for example, as accessories, orange, yellow and pistachio colors will look great. And if you use gentle colors, then it is certainly pink or beige.

You can also perform the interior of the bedroom in mustard or olive colors, which will create a sense of security and tranquility in it. The colors themselves are not very light, but they are very warm and cozy. Dark brown and dark gray, as well as an abundance of natural materials, perfectly harmonize with them.

This interior is wonderfully combined with linen textiles that have the color of natural or aged wood. However, heavy curtains should not be hung, as well as overdoing with dark shades. The classic tones that can be applied are burgundy, dark brown and calm blue. And the main rule that should be observed is not to mix warm shades with cold ones.

Relatively dark colors for the bedroom - the recommended shades are emerald, coniferous and moss. The interior in such colors looks solemn and quite solid, the furniture is usually selected in large sizes, classic dark. In other words, this option is not for small bedrooms, because visually the space will decrease in such a color scheme. However, if the room is spacious with high ceilings, such a design is quite appropriate and looks absolutely natural.

In the interior design of the green bedroom, decor items are very important

Decor items and all kinds of little things in the interior design of the bedroom play a very important role, because correctly placed accents can transform the room beyond recognition. And to select all these elements should be based on the color taken as the basis. As accents can be pillows, bedspreads or original fixtures - everything should be in the same style, there should be nothing superfluous. Only in this case, the interior will indicate the presence of a good taste of the owners. By the way, about lighting - the light in such a green interior should not be too bright, it should only set off the individual corners of the room. Fresh flowers are the best way to enliven the interior and become a great solution, especially orchids reflected in the mirror. And you can use a poster or an unusual panel, which will attract eyes and excite the imagination, as an accent.

Little tip

Making the interior of a green bedroom of any shades, it is categorically not recommended to use glossy paint, like any shiny surface. In this case, soft materials with a complex texture (porous or fabric) are appropriate. In addition, it is always necessary to maintain a balance between bright and dark colors, regardless of the selected main shade. Remember - curtains and bedspreads represent most of the color in the interior. In this regard, sometimes only replacing them is enough to breathe new life into the interior of your bedroom.
